One of the common questions that will always be asked is “should I bulk or should I cut?”

Just do a quick search on the bodybuilding.com forums and you’ll get a mound of results from many young(er) guys promulgating the next step in their fitness journey.

You Are Being Lied To

I am talking to you! You are being lied to every single day whether you know it or not. Everytime you walk by the newsstand, open a new fitness magazine or begin chatting with the local shoddy trainer you have a really good chance of hearing a fib or two. Well maybe that was a bit harsh. For the sake of karma, I will say that its mostly misguided, outdated or misunderstood information. Spinning Your Wheels? How I Went From Newbie To Intermediate Trainee

This is a detailed personal experience on how I went from newbie to intermediate trainee and sort of an expansion to my coaching article. While this piece and the coaching article are similar, I feel it’s necessary to touch on the endless wheel spinning cycle many experience. I find that as I work with more newbies alike, they all seem to be going through the same stuff I went through. I hope to provide some hope and guidance with this one.
