Hey everyone, I hope you’re having a nice Friday afternoon. I’ve been working with a designer to help me get the first JCDFitness t-shirts printed up and to your doorstep.
At first, I was going to get one design made and that was going to be it. But, after much thought, I figured I’d get a few designs made, and then let you decide which one you liked best. That way, you have a say in how you sport the first ever JCDFitness t-shirt in existence.
Fact is, I really have no idea what the demand will be for these. So I wanted to start off with the first run as sort of a test – just to see how fast they’d go. Then, I’ll consider getting more designs, more varieties available over time.
I think for starters, we’re going to use a nice, 50/50 poly/cotton blend. And then from there, we may get some more athletic-style shirts (UnderArmour heatgear-type feel) printed up and maybe even some hoodies (I <3 hoodies!).
As you will see, the theme of this design is from the Clean-Eating series I did late last year. You remember it? I recall sitting in class, getting alerts on my iPod and laptop from all the comments coming in. The hate-mail was pretty fun to read and I even turned a few haters into friends and readers.
In fact, I would say the first article titled Clean Eating is a Scam and Why You Should Abandon It was a major turning point that got the ball rolling in terms of exposure and JCDFitness evangelism. So to everyone who contributed in the comments and sharing of the articles – thanks a lot.
As far as pricing goes – I’m still working on that. The designs below will be on the back, with the JCDFitness logo on the front. I imagine the shirts are going to be black or dark grey for starters. I don’t really have any intention of making much dough off these shirts. All I want to do is cover the expense of getting them printed and out to you with hopes that you’ll wear them in the gym, out on the trails, or when you go out for beer and pizza.

Hey! Just discovered your site after following around Martin from Leangains and Rusty from Fitness Black Book and partially because I’m quite bored at work.
I’ve only read a few of your articles so far, but these t-shirt designs are too cool to pass up.
It’s a toss-up between #1 and #4 but I’d have to go with #4 simply because it’s one of my favorite movies and there’s nothing like being a hypocrite in this day and age by buying a shirt based on a movie that casts materialism in a negative light.
I’d definitely be interested in snatching up a t-shirt or one of those UnderArmour type deals when these finally get made. Keep up the great work and I’ll be sure to add you to my daily blog roll. Thanks!

I know I voted for #1 but I am also really diggin #2, that devil logo is sick as well as the “Let them eat cake” slogan, and I must admit that I think hoodies are awesome too. Please let me know when these will become available, I can’t wait.

I vote for #3. I think it will be the most versatile for expanding towards any different style/color. Plus, I think it could easily go mistaken unless someone was paying attention to the words.
Cast my vote for #2. It reminds me of a sweet b&w t-shirt I once bought with a juiced out devil and the slogan “All natural, swear to Gawd!” Too bad it doesn’t fit me anymore.

To be honest I think you could do better and make way more clever designs. You should incorporate designs using diff slogans. One on clean eating, another on looking great naked, another based off an additional popular article you have or philosophy, etc. I do not really favor any of the designs up, but if i did pick one i’d go with #2
