I would venture to say some of the most frequently asked questions are those regarding pre and post workout nutrition. Everyone has their opinion on what makes a perfect meal, the right and wrong way to mix your protein, the precise way to insert a peanut butter and jelly sandwich into your pie hole and exactly what kind of macro ratio to ingest for optimal results.

Desk Jobs and Dieting

Dieting when you have a desk job sucks. No really, it does. I know because I have first hand experience as my current line of work requires me to sit most of the day, not to mention the time during the week I spend writing articles. Dieting is not as easy as it was when I was walking around campus all day long and working out in the afternoon. However, it’s not impossible though.

Whether you have a desk job or not, just being sedentary most of the day can make dieting harder than it needs to be. Couple a high stress job with readily available trail mix in your drawer and creating a daily caloric surplus is a sure shot. On Cardio and Boredom

If you are like me, once you hear the word cardio you sort of cringe and dreaded thoughts enter your psyche. I am not against cardio by any means but am not very fond of the traditional treadmill/jogging approach. The main reason is because I hate running for long periods in any form or fashion, especially inside of four concrete walls.

The first time I got really lean, I became obsessed with running. Some would say I was addicted to the runners high but my addiction stemmed from seeing a full row of abs and veins in the mirror every morning.
