I was a little thrown off by the title at first. I love dating, but I wouldn't say I'm the "hook-up" kind of guy. At the same time I was drawn to the title and just couldn't resist. I've since read through it twice and recommended it to all of my mesomorphy / endomorphy friends. I'm a skinny dude and didn't find it perfectly suited to me, but I learned a ton and enjoyed his playful writing style.

Current research is indicating that because of the difficulty our body has in creating fat out of alcohol calories that alcohol consumed in absence of carbs and fats doesn't really stand a chance at plumping you up. It also won't much hinder your testosterone by much, even if you were to have 3 drinks every day (-6.8%), or affect protein synthesis at all. The positive effect that moderate alcohol consumption has on insulin sensitivity would more than make up for the downsides, especially if you stick to purer alcohols (red wine, whiskey, scotch, vodka, tequila, etc) and only have a couple drinks a night. If anything you could probably improve your results by having a glass or two of red wine or scotch every night (7-14 drinks / week).

Great summary. Especially love this: "[girls] aren’t as interested in the mirror muscles as you are." That's the one thing that really resonated with me after reading the book.

Gotta agree on the training program. It's an elegant methodology.
