Today I write because I wanted to brag on a certain few people I have been working with over the last few months. Both of the guys featured today are just a year or so younger than I. It’s been a pleasure working with them thus far and it’s been exciting to watch them progress and grow.
Updates
I also added a new page up top for questions, ideas or suggestions for what you would like to see or read about. I will leave the comment section open and you can start a new thread whenever you like. I will take notes as new topics/article ideas arise and put them into the writing queue. At the end of every month I will delete that thread and start fresh with a new one for the next month.
I recently found a strength and conditioning facility nearby so I plan on dropping by in a few weeks to get some video for exercise technique tutorials and what I do as far as my workouts go.
Client Testimonials
I met JC through a fitness forum. He set up a specialized plan for me and we went from there. I have always been active but struggled with gaining strength, even when I was playing college baseball. My goal was to get strong and lean at the same time. He also set me up with a diet plan, which I had no clue how to do. He helped me understand nutrition and how to go about it the right way. He got the so-called “clean diet” out of my head and made nutrition a worry free thing for me. I was put on maintenance for 2 weeks before I started my fat loss quest. Then I dieted for the last five and am still in the process of reaching my goal. JC answers all my questions right away, is helping me take my body to the next level and I can’t thank him enough. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend JC for any fitness advice.
Tom G.
Tom’s strength gains in pounds over the 7 week period
Bench press Start-135×5 Current-205×5
Dips (weighted) Start-35×5 Current-80×5
Pull-ups (weighted) Start-10×5 Current-45×5
Row (Bent over) Start- 95×5 Current-185×5
Shoulder press (DB) Start- 40×5 Current- 70×5
Starting bodyweight: 180lbs Current bodyweight: 173lbs
As you can see Tom has made some very nice strength gains for 7 weeks, all the while losing a little over 1lb per week. I must say I am proud of what he has accomplished in such a short time period.
Tom is not a complete newbie to training as he had been working out for athletics, however they had him training 6 days a week and their workouts revolved around the 12-15 rep range, which is not so great for making strength gains.
We plan to knock off a few more pounds over the upcoming weeks. He is currently about 10% body fat and wants to go sub 8%. He has a great work ethic, so I know he’ll get there easily.
The JCD experience is the complete package. JC really knows what he is talking about when it comes to fitness and exercise. Working with him has been a life-altering experience, more than just being a fitness guru he was able to connect with me and help me on an individual level. Also, unlike some other trainers, JC worked with me beyond just diet and exercise and has helped me address some of the psychological issues connected with body recomposition. I highly recommend his services.
George M.
Georges strength gains in pounds
Bench press Start-145×6 Current-180×6
Squat Start-115×6 Current-210×6
Deadlift Start-135×5 Current-210×5
I began working with George mid January after we had been chatting for quite some time over PM on a forum. George had lost a lot of weight by using Lyle McDonald’s Rapid Fat Loss Handbook and was eager to begin building some mass but like most beginners, he didn’t know exactly how to get started.
I got him going on a somewhat modified Starting Strength template and we have gone from there. He has come a long way considering his rigorous schedule. George is a pre-law student with stress out the wazoo. He has managed to juggle training and school work very well with some impressive gains to boot.
These guys are perfect examples of what happens when you lean on someone else’s experience. I don’t doubt they could have done this on their own as they are both very smart guys, however it may have taken them a little longer due to not having any guidance.
