This is merely a follow up for my Holiday Weight Gain Worries article. Last night I spent around 5 hours baking the famous Ruggles Cheesecake. It was a hit, among all of the other desserts.
The main course was stuffed pork loin topped with orange slices.
For appetizers we had salmon atop of crab dip and crackers.
For more dessert here are a few shots of brownies and coconut macaroons.
So in lieu of the article… At this current time I am in a hyper caloric state. I am performing the Bill Starr 5×5 weight program. I trained this morning after breakfast and only ate a small post workout meal. I saved the rest of my calories for this big dinner with friends and family. Now of course I didn’t count calories all day as it would pretty much be impossible and only make me crazy. Breakfast consisted of going to a great little place downtown called the Pancake Pantry. I partook of a cheese and sausage omelet plus a hefty side of pancakes and hash browns. I was in good company all day long. Tomorrow I will return to my normal calorie counting and regular routine. Simple as that. Who said this fitness stuff had to be complicated?
